5 Questions You Need to Ask Yourself Daily

Here are five powerful questions you need to ask yourself daily, which will cause you to reflect on what’s important in the moment, provide greater clarity, and help you focus better.

1. If today is the second time I am about to live this day, how would I live it differently?

2. Who can I serve, support, or appreciate today, and how will it enhance their day?

3. What’s the one thing I can do such that by doing it everything else will be easier or unnecessary?

4. If I were to reflect on my life one year from today and feel happy about the progress I’ve made, would I still do what I am doing now and why?

5. What do I want to learn today that will help me develop the qualities, skills, or character traits of the person I want to be?

When Should You Ask Yourself Those Questions?

The best time to ask yourself these questions is every morning. Ideally, include them in your morning ritual.

It will allow you to go through your day with a clear purpose and intention to make it the best you can.

Another time to ask yourself these questions and check in with yourself is the middle of the day. If you’ve already asked yourself these questions in the morning, asking them again will make you reflect on how you’re doing and what you need to change.

It’s a valuable practice to pause throughout your day and refocus on your intentions and highest priorities.
